News » Save the trails. Go ride in the desert.

Please avoid all the trails west of town for the next couple weeks. The mud season is upon us, your actions now greatly affect how the trail system rides for the rest of the year. There's plenty of places to ride right now where there isn't mud. The Maston, Horse Ridge and Smith Rocks/Grey Butte are all riding great right now. In those areas, any mud riding is not as harmful as it is west of town.
Mud riding etiquette:
- Avoid trails you know are muddy.
- If you arrive at a trailhead and find the trails muddy - go elswhere.
- If you come across an area of muddy trail that you must ride through - stay on the trail! Riding around mud puddles widens our singletracks.
