  1. North Fork

Remember North Fork is an uphill-only trail per forest service regulations. At this time there is still tons of snow up there blocking the connection with Farewell. So if you want to go explore the area, ride up Farewell, over Metolius Windigo to Happy Valley. Once that is clear someone please post here so we know North Fork is rideable. DO NOT RIDE UP North Fork at this time.

Good news is John Schubert w/ FS just finished replacing the bridge up there that was in such bad shape last year. The old bridge actually collapsed this winter under the snow load. Thanks to the FS to making this a priority so we can access the high country as soon as the snow melts.

north fork is now clear up to happy valley and around farewell bend. just a few patches of snow below the bridge creek junction. new bridge is sweet, thanks usfs. 1/4 mile above happy valley junction snow sections are longer and deeper. i turned around as the last time a did the flagline loop with snow here is was a 5 hrs hikeabike esp on upper flagline. mossies are heavy, 10 on you as soon as you stop. really green and the stream was so clear, enjoy it all. andy fecteau

  3. re: North Fork

A follow up note. I counted 6 tree falls across the trail connecting Happey Valley to Farewell, most of them at knee to chest height. Thanks for the massive new bridge!
