  1. Trail Etiquette - Who Will Yield

    As a new rider in California, I was taught that downhillers yield to uphillers. Here in Bend, there's a just a general "be courteous" practice which leads to games of chicken on one end of the spectrum and situations where everyone slows down and veers off the trail at the other end. I find neither very satisfying. A clear directive, preferably signed at popular riding areas, would take the guesswork out of the many rider interactions on the trails. Thoughts?
