  1. Mtn bikers needed at trail marathon in Bend

    Hi COTA:

    Haulin' Aspen is a marathon and half-marathon held on trails in and around Bend's Shevlin Park. The race is Sunday, Aug. 10.

    We are looking for mountain bike volunteers to work in teams to help mark the course on Saturday, Aug. 9. We also need riders to run "sweep" on Sunday behind the last runners while picking up course markings along the way.

    Shifts are approximately 4 hours. Proceeds from the race benefit the Mountain View High School Cross-Country team.

    Volunteers receive free lunch and a cap!
