Membership Matters.

Who are COTA members?

Mountain bikers and other trail users, locals and visitors alike, who enjoy the trails "free" of charge! However, these “free” trails are built and maintained by COTA. It costs up to $5k to maintain a mile of trail, and up to $70k to build 1 mile of new trail. Funding our $750,000 annual budget is completely supported through trail lovers like you!

Why does membership matter?

SUPPORT TRAIL BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE.
  • Maintain 600 miles of singletrack in Central Oregon
  • Build an average of 10 miles of new trail a year (with land manager approval)
  • Maintain 6 skills areas (The Lair, Bike Park 242, etc.)
  • Groom 9 miles of winter fat bike trails
  • Clear 500+ downed trees from rails each year

SUPPORT ADVOCACY FOR TRAIL ACCESS.
  • We advocate tirelessly for developing new trails and protecting access to existing trails.
  • Member numbers strengthen our voice when working with land managers, politicians and grantors.

SUSTAINABLE STEWARDSHIP.
  • We work hard to ensure trails exist in harmony with the conversation of the natural resources of our forests.

BE PART OF A COMMUNITY.
  • Meet and ride with like-minded mountain bikers who support fun, sustainable, legal trails.
