Contractors and    Requests For Proposals

Sisters Bike Park 242
​Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), in collaboration with Sisters Park & Recreation District and Visit Central Oregon, is seeking bid proposals from qualified Design-Build Trail Contractor to provide professional services to re-construct portions of Bike Park 242, located at 1750 McKinney Butte Road, Sisters, OR 97759.

COTA is seeking bid proposals from qualified Design-Build Trail Contractor to provide professional services to re-construct portions of Bike Park 242. Bike Park 242 has four main components: (1) a series of jump lines, (2) a drop zone, (3) a large pump track, and (4) a small pump track. All of these areas need some amount of rework to be optimized and have deferred maintenance needs.

The schedule is as follows:
   ● RFP released: January 17, 2023
   ● Proposals due: February 15, 2023
   ● Award: February 23, 2023
   ● Contractor work: Weather dependent - Between late March and late May
   ● Completion: all work must be complete no later than June 15, 2023

Phils Skills Area
​Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), in collaboration with the Deschutes National Forest (DNF) Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District, is seeking bid proposals from qualified Design-Build Trail Contractors (Contractor) to provide professional services to re-construct a skills area at the Phil's Trailhead skills area and pumptrack.

This RFP is for the re-construction of the Phils Trailhead skills area and pump track in the DNF near Bend, Oregon. The skills area and  pump track have deteriorated and are not fulfilling the needs of riders. The goal is to rebuild the skills area and pump track. There are three sections: (1) the pump track; (2) skills area that currently has a large section of rolls - this will have skinnies, rock gardens, and rock/wood up-and-overs when rebuilt; and (3) a progressive jump zone.

The schedule is as follows:
   ● RFP released: January 10, 2023
   ● Proposals due: February 7, 2023
   ● Award: February 15, 2023
   ● Design completed and approved: April 1, 2023
   ● Trail work: April - July (exact timing will be weather and fire restriction dependent)
   ● All work complete: July 31, 2023

Royal Flush Boulder Placement
Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) South Deschutes County Chapter (SoDeCo), in collaboration with the Deschutes National Forest Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District, is seeking bid proposals from qualified Contractors (Contractor) to provide professional services to transport and place boulders in the Deschutes National Forest (DNF) near Bend and Sunriver, Oregon.

This RFP is for the transport and placement of approximately 120 boulders in the Deschutes National Forest to define appropriate parking areas and to prevent parking in undesirable locations. The work site is between Sunriver and Bend, Oregon. This project is connected to a larger effort to connect the Royal Flush trail to the Afternoon Delight trail.

The schedule is as follows:
   ● RFP released: January 10, 2023
   ● Proposals due: February 7, 2023
   ● Award: February 15, 2023
   ● Work completed by: June 15, 2023
   ● All construction and other contract requirements complete: June 30, 2023

Wanoga Infield Skills Area
Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA), in collaboration with the Deschutes National Forest (DNF) Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District, is seeking bid proposals from qualified Design-Build Trail Contractors (Contractor) to provide professional services to re-construct a skills area in the DNF at the Wanoga Sno-park.

This RFP is for the re-construction of the Wanoga in-field pump track in the DNF near Bend, Oregon. The pump track has deteriorated and is hard to maintain. The goal is to rebuild the pump track as a skills area with 3 to 4 distinct lines: Progressive jump lines and Drop zone with progressive sized drops. An easy return climbing route will also be included.

The schedule is as follows:
   ● RFP released: January 10, 2023
   ● Proposals due: February 7, 2023
   ● Award: February 15, 2023
   ● Design completed and approved: April 15, 2023
   ● Trail work: May - July (exact timing will be weather and fire restriction dependent)
   ● All work complete: July 31, 2023
